For the first day, I cut my kids’ sandwiches into fun shapes and I leave a special note in their lunch boxes. The first time that I did this, my son thanked me after school, saying that it was so sweet and it really brightened his day. It doesn’t get much better than that! ♥ ♥ ♥
You can use cookie cutters, play doh cutters, fruit and vegetable cutters, or special sandwich cutters. If you’re really creative, you can probably even cut some shapes freehand. I am not that crafty so I use small vegetable cutters. I like the small ones because I can cut multiple shapes into one sandwich. Metal and heavy plastic cutters are strong enough to cut through thick pieces of bread. Plus, they can also be used to cut shapes into fruit and vegetables. There are so many great ways to add some fun to your kids’ lunch box!
There are tons of great cutters available in a variety of shapes and sizes. The best part is that these cutting tools have a variety of uses. You can use them to cut sandwich shapes, and then make matching cookies!
Here are a few of my favorites:
This is similar to the set that I use.
These are SO adorable!
I have the dinosaur cutters from this set and they work really well. They are made of heavy duty plastic so they are strong enough to cut through thick bread.
My son will LOVE these ones!
Disney fans will love a Mickey Mouse Sandwich!
I think I might have to get this one for my daughter.
Create a math lesson in their lunch box!
Halloween will be coming soon. There are a few fun fall shapes in this set too.
